The Perfect Red Lips

Here are some tips on how to achieve that classy red lip. You'll be head-turning and drop dead pretty ;)

-Keep the rest of your makeup natural. You want your lips to stand out.
-Use lip liner around your lips first, this will help the red lipstick to stay where it's supposed to be, your lips.
-If you don't feel comfortable wearing a red lipstick, wearing a red gloss will still give your lips a sheer wash of red without being as dramatic.
-For pale skin, try blue-based reds.
-For tanned skin, coral reds look great on you.
-For medium skin, the classic red and red with a hint of pink are your best match.
-For darker skin, wearing deep reds compliment your skin tone.
-Here are some great lipsticks to try. . .

I Hate You, Starbucks

JK, but really Starbucks, really? Just make me fat already. I was getting my usual, Double Chocolate Chip Frap, and blueberry muffin, when the lady recommended a cake pop to me. Now whoever said this blog was just about beauty & fashion is about to be proved wrong. This blog is about everything fabulous. And darling, cake pops ARE fabulous :) I was recommended a Birthday Cake Pop. And if you've seen one, then you know how pink & lovely it looks. From all the exercise I've been getting from shopping lately I thought I deserved to spoil myself with something little ;) It was absolutely divine and I plan on trying the other ones next time I go. But I'm limiting myself to only two per visit. Because let's face it, I could eat a million of these if I really wanted to.

Starbucks, why must you make the best Frappuccinos and baked goods ever. You already have amazing doughnuts and pound cakes, must you make me fall in love with another fattening substance? Gah.

The Best Of the Best

A couple months ago I went into a hair product buying frenzy. I now own enough hairspray, mousse, and gel to last me a lifetime. My craziness is your gain, we're talking about the best of the best in this post.
(I don't use each & every one daily. I use what best fits whatever look I'm going for that day.)

1.) Herbal Essences Shimmery Nights/Drugstores/$3-4 This stuff is a pain in the butt to find. I used this back when I was in middle school! One day, I wanted my hair to look like a disco ball (don't even ask), so i decided to go pick this up. I couldn't find it for the life of me! But finally I did, and I've been addicted ever since. I use it on those days I want to be a little extra sparkly :)

2.) TIGI Rockaholic Dry Shampoo/$18-22 Let's keep this short & simple. Best dry shampoo ever.

3.) Aussie 3 Minute Miracle/Drugstores/$3-4 Let's be real here. Sometimes we're in a hurry. Sometimes we only have 3 minutes to get our butts out the door. And that's when this bad boy comes in handy ;) And you know you're seriously in love with a product when you're on your fifth bottle.

4.) Chi Straight Guard/Target/$14 Straight Guard, I love you, but you really stink. I seriously do not like the smell of this at all, but it's not to the point where I can't stand it. I use this on my hair after I get out of the shower when it's still wet and it dries completely frizz free! So since you make me hair look amazing, I forgive you :)

5.) Got2B Guardian Angel Heat Protector/Walgreens/$6 I'm pretty sure they changed the packaging because my looks a little different then the one shown above. But nonetheless, this makes my hair protected, shiny, smooth, and soft. Everything you could ever ask for.

6.) John Frieda Root Awakening Spray/Target/$6-$7 This stuff smells soo good! I spray it to the middle & ends of my hair (even though it's meant for your roots), and it gives my hair a nice texture.

7.) Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Daily Boost Root Lifter/Ulta/$17 It does exactly what it's supposed to do. (The picture above show's the old packaging. The new one has purple text and a purple cap!)

8.) Redken Blown Away 09/Ulta/$16 Whip my hair upside down, put some of my 09 in, and blow dry.

9.) Fekkai Marine Clean Detox Shampoo/Nordstroms/$24 Favorite shampoo to use during the summer. It smells wonderful, hydrates my hair, and makes it beautiful!

10.) Aussie Instant Freeze Hairspray/Drugstores/$3-4 I use the one with an aerosol, and it's my favorite hairspray! It volumizes like none other! And it doesn't make my hair hard, white, or anything unattractive like that. It volumizes so well, you could use it to create sex hair if you really wanted.

How to Wear Plaid

1-Abercrombie & Fitch Plaid Shirt $37, American Eagle Shorts $40, Marc Jacobs Ring $58, Guess Sandals $19. 2-Abercrombie & Fitch Cardigan $60, Abercrombie & Fitch Shorts $30, Betsey Johnson Earrings $25, Piperlime Shoes $30. 3-Forever 21 $4.50, Burberry Scarf $335, Abercrombie & Fitch Shorts $35, Guess Necklace $28, Giuseppe Zanotti Cuff Bracelet $1,025, Miu Miu Flats $535. 4-Burberry Bag $1,470, Tibi Jacket $215.

1.) Plaid shirts are always a classic and going with a bolder color during the summer makes it more fun! Wearing glitter hemmed shorts will definitely make you sparkle ;) A cute bright ring that matches your shirt is a great accessory to add and I'm in love with those heart Guess sandals!

2.) Plaid shorts are harder to pull of then most plaid things. Wearing a longer cardigan over a plain tank will keep you comfy and cute. Sparkly sandals would look great with your look and adding little matching sparkly earrings would be the perfect final touch.

3.) Scarfs are always fashionable! Just wearing a plain slouchy tee underneath won't take away from the scarf and dark washed denim shorts with black flats always look great. Mixing in a silver necklace and cuff will really edge up your look!

4.) If you want to show just a little plaid, then pairing your outfit with a plaid bag is the way to go! And on those cooler days, throwing on a fitted plaid jacket would show everybody how stylish you really are :)
